About Me
![]()
I greatly dislike ‘About Me’ pages.
Anyway, here’s some relevant information about myself:
I am a 17 year old girl, Christian, and homeschooled. I have two younger brothers.
I love to come up with and write stories, mainly in the fantasy and science fiction genres. It is a personal conviction of mine that all of my writing honors God, and so it is all in the Christian fiction genre as well.
I also love reading, which most writers generally do.
I love animals, though I don’t suppose I’d call myself an ‘animal lover’. I have two parrots, a White-Fronted Amazon female named Maxi (my baby), and an African Grey male named Loki. We also have a Great Pyrenees puppy named Khan.
KHAAAAN!!!
I’m somewhat of a Trekkie as well.
I like Celtic music.
I love Musicals, whether they be sickly sweet animated kids movies (I especially love The Swan Princess trilogy), Andrew Lloyd Webber (like The Phantom of the Opera and CATs). ‘My Fair Lady’ is particularly wonderful. I’m a fan of Gilbert and Sullivan’s operettas, and the musical adaption of Les Miserables.
I prefer long hair to short, and intend to grow my hair beyond what most people would consider ‘reasonable’ or ‘sane’.
I love chocolate. But then, who doesn’t? I have recently discovered that I enjoy baking, but haven’t quite developed that yet. I’m workin’ on it.
So, maybe some of that wasn’t so relevant? Ah well…
And, most importantly, I am striving to grow in my faith each day, and to praise God in all that I do. May He bless and guide you.

Hi, Birdwhisperer. I have just run across your blog and find it delightful. As a mom who homeschooled (some of the time) all of my children (we moved a lot, due to my husband’s work), I really appreciate what your mom is doing. And dad, too, if he helps.
At any rate, it is obvious through your writings that you are doing really really well and I want to encourage you to keep going as you are.
I just ran across your posting of Psalm 19. One of my favorite.
I pray you never walk away from our Lord. He is so faithful to us, though that alone does not necessarily mean that life is always easy. You seem to be doing really well, though, and I encourage you to continue to seek Him and His ways daily. Truly, as we lay our own lives down daily, He gives us His.

Thank you so much, Charlotte, for the uplifting words! You have encouraged me so much today, and thank you for your prayers!
Yes, Psalm 19 is one of my favorites as well.
Thank you again, and God Bless you!

Hey, girl. I hope you will ignore the comment from Yuan. He is spam, phishing. I got exactly the same note, word for word. Actually, you should report him to WordPress.

Dear Ms. Birdwhisperer,
Mother Hen here!
It seems divinely destined that a hen and one who whispers to birds should eventually meet. Mother Hen sends greetings and salutations!
Her compliments, Ms. B, on a mature style of writing which appears to be from a chick less recently hatched. One would never know (until you divulged the information) that you are a bird of such tender years.
MH would also like to commend Ms. B. on her openess and apparent fondness for our Creator. We are birds of a feather indeed!
With Motherly Regard,
Mother Hen

Hello!
Yes, reading an About Me page is always nice. I suppose that’s why we write them, even when they’re hard. Well, thanks for stopping by!

Found your blog via a forum on NaNoWriMo. Great blog.
I am a 16 year old too so it is always great to find other writers.
I hated writing “About” page too! Interestingly, I also mentioned my love for chocolates on it.
If you like, we can be writing buddies on NaNoWriMo.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. Yup, ‘About Me’ pages: you can’t live with ‘em, you can’t live without ‘em. lol
Glad to meet another writer! I’ve added you on Nanowrimo. Good luck with this year’s novel!

You sound like me, except that I’m afraid I’m not really the best example of a Christian; I have things that i do that really aren’t the greatest–such as swearing. It’s more than a little bit annoying, actually, that because swear words are all I ever hear, i even start thinking and saying them
I’m attempting to get into a better relationship with God but it’s not really happening right now…sigh. I’m fourteen–almost fifteen–and a freshman. Anyway this blog sounds interesting!!! I’ll be back!

Everyone has something they struggle with.
I’m at pretty much the same place as you, about trying to be closer to God, and there are still lots of things I need to work on. But we’ll get there, with God’s help.
Anyway, thanks for visiting! See you around!

Hey birdwhisperer–
This is the old SThriftable. I just thought I’d share that I still love your blog and you should check out the one I just started! http://teenagejesusfreak.wordpress.com/
I’m so glad to be out of the hole I fell into last year. Your blog may have helped me, actually. It also inspired me to start the one I have now

If you haven’t read Stepping Heavenward by Elizabeth Prentiss, I urge you to try it. You might be encouraged.

Yes, I agree! That’s a very good book.
